Turner Centre Jazz Club presents the John Leigh Calder Quartet

Our Jazz Club is very excited to have the John Leigh Calder Quartet return, with John Leigh Calder (Bass and Vocals), who has recently returned from London. Featured alongside John is saxophonist Walter Bianco. We also welcome back two of our favourite musicians, Matt Watson (Piano) and Matt Hennessy (Drums) for a night of cool Jazz on Friday 25th January.

Turner Centre Presents Royal New Zealand Navy In Concert

 

Come along and experience a musical journey with The Royal New Zealand Navy Band. We will be performing in Kerikeri’s Turner Centre at 2:00pm on Sunday the 3rd of February 2019. The RNZN Band is performing a one off concert while on tour to Northland for their annual Waitangi celebrations. It will be an afternoon of many different musical flavours, with something in our programme for everyone.

Imperfect Offering presents The Music of Leonard Cohen

 

Imperfect Offering presents a full programme of the music of Leonard Cohen. With a full nine-piece band including five vocalists, violin and even balalaika, Imperfect Offering will lead you on a journey from Cohen’s first album in 1967 to his last in 2016. Standing ovations and sold-out shows around North Island, this is the band’s first visit to Kerikeri with ONE SHOW ONLY – booking strongly advised.

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra presents Classical Journey

Hamish McKeich: Conductor // Start your year off with a summer treat of music written during or inspired by the late 18th century. Under the guidance of NZSO Associate Conductor Hamish McKeich, the concert opens with Rossini’s overture to his opera The Italian Girl in Algiers. From there on, the audience will journey from London (Haydn’s London Symphony) to the Russian countryside (Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony) and finishing in Bavaria (Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Haydn). This will be an epic auditory grand tour of Europe.

Aroha Music Society presents Spina & Benignetti Piano Duo

Winners of international music competitions, including Emerging Artist Gold at Global Music Awards in September 2017, these talented musicians hail from Italy and currently reside in France. They are official Yamaha Artists, formed their partnership in 2013 and we welcome them on their first New Zealand tour.
Eleonora Spina and Michele Benignetti will play:  Saint- Saëns, Schubert and Mendelssohn.
