Sol3 Mio ‘Back to Basics’

 

This will be Sol3 Mio in their most intimate and purest form – three voices and a piano – with a brand new repertoire of songs and anecdotes from their adventures around the globe over the past 12 months.

In this tour, Sol3 Mio take a step back from their recent outdoor shows to reconnect with smaller audiences at concert halls and theatres, sharing experiences and music from their experiences across the globe, up close and personal.

The Pettman Ensemble

 

The Pettman Ensemble is a flexible touring group of musicians from New Zealand and Australia dedicated to performing chamber music from early classical repertoire to music of today. Its core members are Michael Endres (piano), Uwe Grod (flute), Curt Thompson (violin) and Edith Salzmann (cello). Australasia’s most talented young artists will join the ensemble to perform music for larger groups.

The Turner Centre Jazz Club presents Maria O’Flaherty and the Ben Fernandez Quartet

The Jazz Club welcome Maria and Ben’s Quartet to Kerikeri. Maria O’Flaherty is based in Auckland. Her music spans several genres including Jazz, Latin, Celtic and French Chanson. She sings with some of NZ’s most respected jazz musicians, three of which are members of this quartet due to play the New World Theatre bar Friday 29th March.

The Stage Door – Auditions for Calendar Girls

 

A group of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary Women’s Institute, persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference – no more photos of bridges or churches for them. Overcoming their initial reserve, the friends drop their dressing gowns, their modesty spared only by artfully placed cakes, knitting and flower arrangements.

UPSURGE Bay of Islands Arts Festival

We are a biennial arts festival held in and around the stunning Bay of Islands region.
This year’s Festival runs over six action packed days and nights with a diverse programme of performance genres from New Zealand and afar.

With a tantalising selection of theatre, contemporary dance, free street theatre and music performances, we hope that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

DDF Dance End Of Term Showcase

DDF Dance Studio was established in 2008. This is their fifth year running and holding dance showcases at The Turner Centre in Kerikeri, the show is the end performance of their 8-week workshop they hold at their local studio down Sammaree Pl off Mill Lane. They also have students who will be performing from Moerewa and Paihia area. Alannah Curtis has choreographed the whole show, from old school songs like Micheal Jackson Blood on the dance floor, Ciara 1, 2 Step to new school music like Bruno Mars and Chris Brown.

The Stage Door Presents Shrek the Musical

Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…”. Thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside an overexcited Donkey to rescue a spirited princess. Throw in the vertically-challenged Lord Farquaad, a cookie with an attitude, a puppet with a bad habit and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.
