Alice Gatti

Born in Wellington to artists John & Susan Gatti, Alice holds a diploma in textile design from Wellington.  She worked and traveled as a surgical theatre nurse until returning in 2003 to live in Ohaeawai with her husband and daughter.

All the pieces in this show are created with magazine collage.

Alice is currently running the family farm in Ohaeawai which is a rich source of ideas for collage works such as these.

 Selecting and cutting shapes and colours to make the images also teaches me a lot about painting.
