THIS IS US HERE NOW/ ANEI MĀTOU EXHIBITION

Join us for the exciting launch of a unique collaborative community art project on Monday, December 9th, from 5 PM to 6 PM at the Turner Centre, Kerikeri. Curated by Marita Hewitt and Teresa HR Lane, this exhibition showcases the contributions of over 200 individuals from Kerikeri, Kawakawa, Kaeo, Matauri Bay, Russell, and local schools and retirement homes. Together, we’ve created a vibrant textile collage banner that reflects our shared stories and spirit.

Experience the beauty of repurposed materials and diverse craft techniques, from knitting and weaving to patchwork and collage, as we come together to create something extraordinary. Following the exhibition launch, enjoy a festive performance by the Bay of Islands Singers from 6 PM to 7 PM, featuring delightful Christmas carols.

This event, supported by the Turner Centre and the Bay of Islands Whangaroa Community Board, promises to inspire and celebrate our community’s creativity. Don’t miss this chance to connect and express through art!
