Volunteers are the heart of the Turner Centre.

The Turner Centre has been built on the many hours of love that volunteers have poured in to our venue and services. We are privileged to have a space that is cared for by the community, for the community.

We are regularly looking for people in the following areas:

• Bar Staff 
  Taking food and drink orders from customers at the bar. You will be working in a team with other volunteers and a Bar Manager. The shifts are generally around 3-4 hours, mostly during evenings and weekends.
• Ushers
  As an usher you will show people directions around the building, control access to the Auditorium doors and, in case of an emergency, help evacuate the building. The shifts are generally around 4 hours, mostly during evenings and weekends.
• Hospitality
  Responsible for setting, maintaining and packing up our Hospitality Desk (Coffee, Tea, Catering etc.) on event days. The shifts range from 2 to 6 hours, mostly Monday to Friday during the day.
• Ticket scanning
  You are the first person to greet people at the door to validate their tickets. Shifts are 1.5 hour – before show time.
• Gardening
  As part of our Volunteer Gardening Team, you will be weeding, tidying and watering the gardens around the Turner Centre. The Gardening Team meets weekly on a suitable morning for 1-3 hours depending on the season.
